Salento region, also known as "Otranto Land" or "Japigia" is the southern part of Apulia Italy heel. It comprehends Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto provinces.

Thanks to the mildness of its climate, this extreme part of Italy offers the best environment for vine growing. Hence the ancient and inseparable link between this land and vine growing, dating back to Magna Grecia times.
